LUNITA CATHERINE COMPTON

The Adelaide & Frances Memorial Home for the Poor & Elderly was the scene of much gaiety

and excitement on December 13, 2000 during a fun-filled Christmas luncheon hosted by the

founder and chairman, Mr. Augustus Justin. The 87th birthday anniversary of a long-standing

friend and benefactor of the Home was commemorated on that memorable occasion.

Mrs. Compton was paid high tribute during a brief ceremony for her untiring service to the

poor and elderly in St. Lucia. The upper wing of the Home was declared open in her honour

and named the Lunita Catherine Compton Wing. Lunita passed away on July 8, 2007.
